Are you a new Texas public library director? If so, this course is for you. This course is meant to get you? started in your new job. It will help you know what to expect: what public library work is all about, what your role is, and how to do it in ways that meet the unique needs of your community. We?ve included only essential information in an effort to keep it short and as such, we anticipate that it can be completed in under 1.5 hours. Don?t think you can do it all in one sitting? Not to worry ? this course is self-paced so you can start and stop work at any time.
This course consists of short videos (most of them between 2-3 minutes long) and essential web resources and covers the following core topic areas for new Texas public library directors:

- TSLAC Library Development & Networking Division ? Programs and Services for Libraries

Those course is worth 1.5 TSLAC CE hours and must be completed within 30 days of enrollment.
